For context, they weren't busy when I went so this review will focus on the food. I ordered the Smash burger and it was among the best I've had (I added bacon and an egg because I was hungry). The taste and flavors were amazing and everything was seasoned just right. Lots of other yummy food on the menu. Wonderful conversation with the manager too! The place is very nice and some nice views (especially sitting outside which I did not do because of the weather). I will be back the next time I'm in Reno.

We had an amazing experience thanks to Brandon Michael Cook 🙌🏽, who went above and beyond to make our night unforgettable at The Spot. His attention, friendly attitude, and professionalism truly stood out, drinks and foods are served on time, foods are good, really good👌🏽. Brandon made sure that we are all good, he’s checking us from time to time if we need something. Me, my husband, and his cousin went to Reno from the Bay Area hoping we can get married the same night but we arrived late and all were closed, we were exhausted so we decided so to go somewhere to eat and relax and we saw The Spot. He even told about the things we needed before we can get married in Reno which is a big help. It’s rare to receive a service that feels this thoughtful and genuine — he really made us feel good and welcome. We’ll definitely be coming back, and we hope to be served by him again!

The restaurant is right by the river. Get a nice breeze from the wind and beautiful view of the river. The restaurant has a band playing some jazz music and it was great! The meat was dry and could be marinated with more seasoning and cook better to keep it soft and moist. The restaurant was short staff or something that day…it took some time for food/drinks to come out.

I walked in by myself at 1:45pm on a Friday, and they did have a table on the balcony after a 7-minutes wait for someone to greet me. I ordered the salmon/rice plate for $25, and they asked how I'd like the salmon cooked, to which I replied "medium". After a roughly 20-minutes wait they brought out the plate. The dish was more of a rice/salad bowl with an OK-sized chunk of salmon on it. The fish was perfectly cooked to "medium". The seasoning was just what I expected based on the menu. So the food, although slightly on the expensive side, left nothing to be desired. The service was very friendly but unfortunately a bit too slow for what was really outside the lunch rush hour. The atmosphere on the balcony was great. Perhaps they could moderate the volume of their muzak a bit. It was hard to relax.

So much fun!!! Beautiful spot, plenty of room for groups, and some unique menu options. Brunch all day?!? Yes, please! You had me at chilaquiles. My husband had the steak sandwich…not sure what that magic sauce was on there but it was delicious. (Yes, I tried his sandwich…and he helped finish my chilaquiles.) And of course, the location is perfect. The river walk is my favorite “place” in all of Reno….close to city plaza park and incredible view of the river. Will definitely be back!
